Detailed Description
The Research Assistant will perform techniques such as tissue dissection, primary cell tissue culture, immunohistochemistry, and imaging. Will have opportunities to present ideas to the laboratory. Will also assist with developing new experimental platforms, contributing to original research, and maintaining core laboratory operations. Responsibilities include reagent procurement, inventory management, interfacing with critical vendors or university cores, and creating new operational protocols.
Job Requirements
Bachelor's degree in science required; educational emphasis in cell biology, developmental biology, or biophysics preferred. Must have excellent organization and interpersonal skills with strong attention to detail. Must have some experience in molecular biology, tissue culture, or embryology and be driven by scientific curiosity. Additional skills in philosophy, history, economics, or the arts a plus.
